The task: NetApp is well-known as one of the leading data storage providers for enterprise-class businesses worldwide. But when it came to selling their more affordable and scalable MSB (midsized business) solutions, they had a tricky time explaining the benefits to the marketplace — especially considering that decision makers in such companies that need to wear many different hats and may not be experts in the data storage.
The idea: Given that the audience had both limited time and knowledge into their storage needs, we created a series of online, animated videos that shared the benefits of NetApp efficiency solutions using simple language and easy-to-understand themes. To do so, we built off the structured message to MSBs that promised, “Start right. Keep it simple. Grow smart.”
The execution: In the end, we created a series of four animated videos that were featured across NetApp-owned online real estate and promoted through online banners and channel partnerships. We worked within NetApp’s humorous, down-to-earth branding to create spots that were both entertaining and informative. These short, entertaining clips aimed to not only introduce NetApp solutions to a new audience, but also create a pull in the market that enabled NetApp’s channel partners to boost sales.
